Debuting  in  December of 2006, WXKS-AM 1430 & WKOX 1200 took it's place as the only 24 hour, 7 day a week Hispanic radio station to serve the Boston Metropolitan area. The station targets the 18-49 year old Hispanics with an up-tempo and high-energy presentation of today's best Spanish language dance and Latino pop music. 

The Boston market ranks the 9th largest market in the country, and is the 20th ranked Hispanic market. The market represents over $4.5 billion in buying power, and $3 billion in retail sales. The current annual household income is $41,000. According to SRDS research the current Hispanic population is 299,371. We are Boston's only Hispanic 24 hour station, serving 100% of the Hispanic community.  Rumba offers our listeners locally produced programming, with an emphasis on:  local news, issues and entertainment tailored to the Boston area Hispanics. According to the latest US Census and our continuous in house research efforts, our listeners and the format of our radio stations reflect the diversity of the ever-growing Hispanic communities in the Boston area.
